Father's Day Weekend

Last weekend we traveled to West Palm Beach to visit Chet's family, and to meet our new nephew Aubrey! Aubrey is a month old, and quite adorable! This is actually the 2nd time we've been to WPB in the last couple of months, so let me back up for a minute...in March we went to WPB for Raquel's baby shower (in honor of not-yet-born baby Aubrey). I don't have any pictures from the shower, but I do have a couple of adorable pictures of (some of) the cousins!

Chet's brother, Todd, and their Dad (Papa Greg) built a rocking boat (like a rocking horse, but a rocking boat!) for Aubrey before he was born. It is awesome, and looks precious is his nautical-themed bedroom. That was in March. Then, Papa Greg build a rocking train for our nephew Jacob's 2nd birthday (in May). We figured Sydney would get a rocking something for her 2nd birthday, so we had some time to think before placing our order, but I mentioned a rocking old-fashioned carousel horse while we were at Jacob's party. Well...much to our surprise...Papa Greg built just that and gave it to us (I mean...gave it to Sydney) last weekend! It is gorgeous, and we were all so surprised! I need to take better pictures of it to show you the detail, but these are the best I've got for now. (Syd was ready for a nap when they presented the horse to her, so she's a little sleepy-looking and wouldn't let us take the pacifier from her.)

Sydney liked meeting Aubrey. We even got her to say, "Aubrey"! As always, she helped out with his pacifier. I think she was a little confused, because his pacifier is just like hers, so she got possessive a couple of times...

Last but not least, Happy Father's Day again to my wonderful Daddy! We love you and can't wait to see you soon!

22 Weeks

Here's my 22-week picture! I had a doctor appointment Monday; I found out that the 19-week ultrasound results were normal, and everything else looks great! It was my last appointment before we move and I have to find a new OB. :-(

Final House Pictures

I FINALLY took pictures of our bedroom/bathroom, the downstairs 1/2 bath, and the kitchen and dining area. Good thing I did, because soon I will start packing away things and it will not look "normal" anymore! I can't believe I'll be posting pictures of our "new" house in 4-6 weeks...

Here is a picture of Syd to get us started. This is her "This popsicle is cold!" face.
Hallway leading to the master bedroom.

This is what you see when you're standing at the door. To the left is my closet (we have separate closets!).

Another closet shot (and a family portrait).

The rest of the pictures are taken around the room, clockwise.

Foyer leading to the bathroom (because those are necessary!), and Chet's closet door. There is a linen closet across from Chet's closet.

Master bathroom (nothing special, but nice). The rest of the pictures are taken around the room, counterclockwise.

The bathmat looks dirty, but I promise it's not! It's discolored from getting wet. I will buy a darker one next time.

Little hallway leading to the downstairs 1/2 bathroom. It's all done in a Texas theme!

Didi's Visit

This past weekend, Didi (my mom) visited! She flew in Thursday and left Sunday, and we had a wonderful time (although it was too short, as it always is). We did lots of shopping while she was here: we bought a couple of items for Baby Girl's room, and went to a huge sale (70% off!) at the children's consignment shop that I love (it's so much easier to shop there when you have a helper, and no Sydney...she went to Gander Mountain with Daddy). Chet and Sydney accompanied us on a trip to Super Target, where Sydney had fun helping us test out double strollers and running around the children's clothing section. Even though we did a lot of shopping, we didn't do a lot of buying...just lots of "market research", which is just as much fun. And, of course, Didi spent lots of time with Sydney...they went on walks around the neighborhood, watched "Sesame Street", read books, etc. We only took ONE picture the whole weekend...shame on us...but it's a good one!

20 and 21 Weeks

Here are my 20- and 21-week belly pictures, as well as a picture of Baby Girl sucking her thumb (taken at our 19-week ultrasound). (I included the 20- and 21-week pictures from my pregnancy with Sydney for comparison...perhaps a little disheartening, but at least I like my haircut better this time around...) I can't believe I'm already halfway there! I'm feeling her move around quite a bit, and my next doctor appointment is next Monday, June 20th (the doctor only wants to see me every six weeks, so this will be my third appointment, not counting the 19-week ultrasound).

Really Late Easter Pictures

I don't have very many good pictures from Easter, but here are some. Syd didn't do an egg hunt or anything, so here she is just playing with plastic eggs around the house Easter morning before church. By the way, Chet's dad made Syd's Easter basket -- it looks just like the one Chet and his sister and brother had when they were little (and all of the cousins have one too)!
