Pappasito's

While in TX we met up with my dear friend Angela at our favorite (the best in the world, really) Mexican food restaurant. It was so great to catch up with her and her mom...even though we keep in touch, Angela and I hadn't seen each other since she visited Jacksonville when Sydney was 7-months old! I'm so excited, because she is coming for another visit this Easter!

5 Months Old!

Can you believe Lorelei is 5-months old?  I can't.  She is so sweet.  Here are some 5-month old Lorelei facts:
--While we were in TX I had her ears pierced and her picture made by my friend Kaci, owner of Sweet Southern Photography.
--Her hair is growing in quite nicely, and very blonde.  Unlike Sydney, she had hardly any hair when she was born. Also unlike Sydney, none of the hair she DID have fell out, so in a way I feel like she has more than Syd did at the same age.
--She is pretty much in all 6-month clothing.  There are a few 3-6 month outfits she can still wear, but not many.
--She has not started eating solid foods yet.  I like to wait until the 6-month mark before I start solids (even rice cereal).
-- She's finally sleeping in her crib (as opposed to the Moses basket in my room), although not through the night, currently.  A few weeks ago she was sleeping through the night, but I think she's going through a growth spurt. As long as she goes BACK to sleep after she wakes up in the middle of the night, which she does, I don't mind.
--She rolls over nearly every time I lay her on her back (she hasn't mastered the tummy-to-back roll yet).
--She loves cooing and laughing at Sydney.
--She definitely loves her mommy.  Especially now that she's entering the separation anxiety phase.  She is my little buddy.

Attempting "Hook 'em Horns".

Heel stretch.

The "Bend and Snap".

I tried to capture her chunky legs, but these pictures don't do them justice.  They are quite chunky; it looks like I've wrapped at least three rubber bands around each leg.

Houston Zoo

One Sunday while in TX we visited the Houston Zoo (along with every other Houston resident, ha!). It was crowded because the weather was perfect, but we had fun anyway (my dad took us).

Still Here

In case you weren't sure, I'm still here and still blogging (even though you haven't seen any blog posts lately, ha!). The girls and I went to Texas for two weeks, and I was SURE I would blog while I was there. Silly me.

Anyway, we had a great time, but it flew by. Chet's mom helped me drive from Gulfport to Humble and my mom accompanied us on the return trip. The girls were (surprisingly) good in the car for both trips. The drive back to Gulfport was quite eventful though. I will provide details when I'm blogging at the computer rather than using the Blogger app on my phone (so tedious!).

I hope everyone is having a great week! Can you believe it's already mid-March?
