TAP

TAP stands for Transition Assistance Program, which is the class I am taking this week instead of going to work. Let me back up a little bit...for those of you who don't know, I submitted my resignation paperwork to the Navy's Personnel Bureau last month. I will have served my obligated five years come May 2011, and I requested to get out of the Navy in June 2011 (yes, requested...the Navy can technically deny my request to resign, but that's unlikely). Anyway, TAP is the first step (for me) to begin the resignation process (even though the Navy hasn't officially approved my resignation yet), but it's a good class to take early because it doles out a lot of good information about Veterans' benefits, the GI Bill, how to get a job, and how to be a civilian (LOL!). Actually, in my opinion, the class it mostly geared toward getting a job in the civilian world...which is good...but it doesn't really apply to me since I plan on staying home with Sydney (woo hoo!). Anyway, I thought I'd provide you all that random update. Hope everyone is having a good week so far! And here's a picture of Sydney:

I'm so excited for you Ashley. The most rewarding "job" you could ever have is that of being a full time mother to Sydney! She is an absolute doll and I always enjoy the photos you post here.

I hope all is well with the Wyckoff family and that Chet will be home soon! Hugs to all of you!!
